New Year and New Beginnings
That time between Christmas and New Years. The time we take a deep breath and realize all the hussling around for the short moments of Christmas joy are passed now. The time we spend a few days cleaning up, finding the daily routines, taking down the stockings and putting away until next year. The time we realize the year has almost come to an end, and new one begins. Reflection time happens, on the past year and how we will make the next year different, better, brighter, bolder!
Common comments I over hear, " so ready for this year to end! I need a new start. I hope next year is better". Then the goal setting, this year I am going to .............
* do more of.......
* lose a few pounds
* start a new exercise plan
* be better at.......
* begin a new adventure and .....
New Years resolutions. Why do we wait for the New Year to start something new to better ourselves, better our life, be better person, work harder, give more.....be more???? We are always searching for more. Shouldn't we focus our every day on this attitude? Traveling and see new places is fun, but what about the beauty of where you are at, and enjoying what you have in front of you today?
Maybe we should focus every day:
* how to be more thankful
* appreciate the little things in life
* focus on the positive attributes in others
* notice the small miracles in nature
* give more, want less
* be more, need less
* forgive
True happiness starts deep within. Success is within all of us, but letting your heart see what you already have.
"Year's end is neither and end or a beginning but a going on, with all the wisdom that can instill in us". Hal Borland
Find your happiness in your heart every day in something small and beautiful and you will find success in life.
Happy New Year for 2018, blessings to all.
