Life is Too Short to Not Enjoy Whip-Cream Every Day

As Shasta would say, “ Life is too short to not enjoy a little whip cream every day”. She looks and waits for it, this girl has radar ears and knows when I make my morning mocha. She won’t leave until the can of whip cream comes out for a morning pick me up. We did not used to have it every day, but why not? Life is about living and enjoying the small things.
What inspires you? For each of us that question is different, but it is not always about “finding yourself” it is about “creating yourself”. I am pretty simple because I can find inspiration in just about everything.
Yes, almost everything. My pages are filled with photos of the Gorge. I love scenic pictures that can capture a moment. I love sunset to sunrise and everything I see in between. Today the weather has been calm and still, wildly windy with gusts that have knocked down trees. The sky has shown blue, puffy clouds and dark dark grey clouds that have dropped enough rain to drench you just walking to the mailbox. The clouds have dipped low on the hillside and stretched across the trees so when the wind blows you can see the moisture drifting and then they have retreated high in the sky forming heaviness. Each day a new spring flower pops open, its like Easter to go outside and find a new bloom.
I love the peacefulness of the woods and the joy of playing music or the loud crackle of thunder or a tree falling in the wind. I can be inspired by the still quiet of snowfall or waking to the birds singing. And wildlife! Seeing wildlife rocks my world! Of course, seeing first hand an Eagle soaring give you a sense of majestic strength. I watch every day for my bears to return on the hillside. I admit I am inspired by only seeing the signs of nature and they were there……a print in the dirt and yes scat piles. I will say it, I get excited over shit.
Family and people will always inspire my heart, even when it breaks my heart. Daily emails of pictures and videos of my far away Grand daughter starts my morning with sunshine. Exploring with friends and family whether great or small adventures make my day, people I love and sharing life.
So no matter what your passion is, it’s about finding the joy and inspiration and letting it happen instead of waiting for it. It is there right in front of us every day. You have to make your own path. With open eyes and an open heart, everything is possible.
So don't forget the whip cream, because each day is worth it!
