Adventure Begins Here
*The flowers are in full bloom and the Osprey have returned to their nesting grounds in the Gorge.

*It is way to wet to try to mow the grass that stretches out daily.
*We had a first day of sunshine that gave us hope for warmer days and at 60, we all ran out in t-shirts and shorts.
*The weather will keep warming up, the sun will come back and shine bright, each day gives a little more hope to that dream.
It is time to prepare for your outdoor adventure! Now to decide, because the choices are wide open:
hiking
wild life viewing
wine tasting
shop and dine
mountain bike
kayak
fishing
other river and water adventures.
Whether you are visiting for a weekend or a day, live here, work here we all love it here. The Gorge is full of activity and hosts opportunity for adventure.
Don't just pack a lunch and a camera. Come prepared for the Gorge and its beautiful but rugged terrain and Mother Nature who has no mercy and like a woman can change her mind quickly. Last night gave a taste of her mild force to remind us we need to pack accordingly. Bring plenty of water, extra clothes for climate change and please please a first aide kit for emergencies!
The Gorge is a combination of rugged beauty and natural wonders. We are blessed with incredible places to visit and explore. But last night was another reminder of the forces of Mother Nature. We can go from peaceful gentle sunrise with the blue sky opening to shine and winds shift bringing down pour rains and high winds in minutes. The Gorge is a glimpse of Heaven waiting to be explored and enjoyed. Proceed with caution and use your brain, BE PREPARED! Always the key. Educate yourself of where you are going and what you need. Be self reliant, because out in the Gorge we are remote. Remote from electronic devices, people and ......yes help. Refresh yourself on First aid, you can even join me in a Wilderness First Aid Class.
Enjoy your memories you make here, enrich your soul! Once you taste a slice of what we have to offer, you won't want to leave. Just what ever makes your heart sing, keep our natural beauty the way it is, pack out garbage, be respectful on trails and campgrounds and leave it the way you found it for others to enjoy as well. Enjoy your adventure and return home safely.
"Never sit out. Dance your way through life with love, kindness, compassion and respect. Take others by the hand and show them how to drive the adventure".
