In Stillness I Found Peace
Life is filled with responsibilities;

work
family
home
personal goals
community and more.
These are all important elements of life, but so are you! It is easy to get pulled in so many directions you have lost your internal compass. Listen to your heart, its telling you, " its time for you".
So when life pulls you north, south, east, west to the point which way is up? It is time to find a grounding point and get back your true north.
Now Winter has it's hazards, but it has its peace. For me, there is nothing like solitude on a trail in the snow. Out in the forest I can find still, quiet and peace.
Snow used to mean for me.....extra work and lots of it! Which means, even more, it is time to find yourself again.
Maybe, it is only a few moments in the morning, watching gentle snow flakes peacefully float to the forest floor from inside your window. Maybe, you need something more! Ok, for me it took 8 miles and bundling up 25 lbs of gear and battling mother nature.
I find peace and strength in quiet moments where I challenge myself to renew, rest and recharge beyond human awareness.
"In quietness and trust shall be your strength" Isaiah 30:15

Let everything else slip away for a moment or 4 hours, what ever you have to give to it and let go. Maybe, I am a little more challenging myself that it did take me 8 miles of trekking in the flocked forest. Being the first one to make those new tracks in the snow and finding something of nature that some can only experience in the sharing of my photos. One reason I carry 20 pounds of lenses, tripods and extra equipment, to capture and share with those who can not get there themselves. ( that is ok), We all have different needs to succeed. Being out there with the elements of nature is not for everyone to endure.
If it is for you? There is a beauty far beyond my lense and words to share. I found my renewable energy and peace. Words of wisdom, " don't forget to take time for you!"
"what we have done for ourselves dies with us. What we have done for others and the world remains immortal" Albert Pike
May my gift be to others also in pictures and give words of wisdom to find time for you so you can give to others. There is a balance. Go find your true north!
