Who are we and tell me more about my family?

Definition family:

1. a group consist of parent and children living under the same household

2. group of individual who share a genetic bond and common ancestors

3. To feel secure having someone you can count on with respect and responsibility. Consisting of those people who support and love you, confide and trust

4. a bond that cannot be broken

I am blessed, I have a family.

Super blessed, I have multiple families. The definitions above are family; mom, dad, siblings, relatives.....they can be the same group as number 2 or a different group of family and they can all be a definition of the same people or different people.

What if you have 2 lines of life, 2 sets of family, 2 mothers, 2 sets of relatives- wow, this is truly a blessing.

2 mothers? No not 2 women who are partners raising you, no not a mother and step mother. Mother, Mae, Matka, Mor, Maman, Mutter, Aiti, Mathair, Makuahine, Mamma. No matter the language it all means the same.

Definition of "mother":

1. one who brings up a child with care and affection

2. to give birth to a child

3. A selfless loving human who must sacrafice many of their wants and needs for the wants and needs of the child.

A mother works hard to make sure their child is equipped with the knowledge, skills and abilities to make it as a competent human being.

That sounds pretty right and look at wild animals, the mother raises the child to know how to run, fight or hide from danger, how to hunt and survive, how to make and find shelter.

Qualities of a mother;

a source of inspiration, inheriting her qualities,hard working, patience, humility, kindness, simplicity, preserverance, tolerance, forgiveness, understanding. The strong values for a foundation of life.

There are many people in life who will always be family, those who have supportive and loving, who will always be there or have been there when I need.

There are people in our lives that come into our lives and become our family.

There are people we find as family that we are tied to in a bond of ancestry. Family does not have to be a small pool consisting of just a mother and father and children in a household.

You can have 2 mothers. One who gives birth and give you life and another who gives you life by teaching the skills to become a competent person. Both are mothers who are selfless with unconditional love.

We are brought into this world and we have choices where we go and what we do with the information we are given as we learn and grow. Its our choice who we become and where we go with it.

There are no mountains I can not climb

No terrain I can not traverse

I have a zest for living and enthusiasm for life

Perceive a new possibility and make it reality.

I have 2 mothers, one who gave me life and selflessly put me up for adoption and one who gave me life and the skills and knowledge to become a competent person. Both loved me unconditionally. The first one I never got to know but I have her traits, her DNA and a family with her relatives and ancestry. The other I knew my whole life, I have her traits and a family and relatives. I am truly blessed.

Where do we truly come from? I come from both; the ancestry roots and the roots of the ones who raised me. There are internal and external factors that shape up, experiences and genetic make up. 2 lines of life for me, 2 sets of family.

I have a little sister and I still have my big brother.
