Closure and Beginnings

Made it another year! Such a blessing, 365 days added to the journey around the sun. I start my reflection every year, usually thinking about this past year for a week now. Now it is time to do it again. Some people will be readier than others to start the next cycle because each year we all experience loss of family and friends. Everyone has their own battles while Mother nature has turned up wild storms and changed history. This is expected, hold on and ride it out....people can label it as they like but the Earth has been changing since beginning of time, just as we do as people grow and change. But it still spins, seasons come and go and we adapt. So don't miss the sunrise, even it changes but it comes up every morning and blows a quick kiss and promise of a new day. There will be cloudy, rainy or foggy days and the sun is still there behind them and the day will begin, it is called faith. "Be ready for the year to end and put it in the past?", don't be quick to dismiss and be done with your own journey, grow and learn from it. Life has ups and downs it would not be a ride if it did not. After alI, its not an adventure without excitement and now we get to do it again if you are fortunate enough.
I am truly blessed, I have wonderful family, beautiful friends, a place to call home that I find serenity and peace. I have family in Heaven that are guardian angels. My son and his family are close enough I can get to in a half days travel and I know they are well and safe when I need grandma fix of hugs and smiles. We added a new addition to our beautiful family this Fall, blessed with a new granddaughter to love and cherish. 2026 will bring new family adventures as one of our older grand sons found a beautiful lady to hold on to and promise her an adventure together.

This past year was filled with a fresh start, magic, abundance, grace and much love.
Human nature always seems to "want more", more time for fun, more time with family, more expectations.....But I feel I have had an abundance of it all. Time is a gift, so appreciate all the time you are given. I rejoice with gratitude for another year that I have lived.
This year I have been able to chase the magic of rainbows, the aurora, sunrises, and of course bears and eagles with my side kick Lucy. My life is blessed with family, wonderful friends and neighbors, peace, serenity, courage, strength, grace and love. I have the strength to keep dreaming but also make it happen with the grace to let go.

I can enjoy retirement the past couple years and a peaceful daily life.
But, we survived and continue on in our own journey.
new adventures, new memories and there will be new obstacles. words to live by from Rod Stewart,
"May the good Lord be with you
Down every road you roam
And may sunshine and happiness
Surround you when you're far from home
And may you grow to be proud
Dignified and true
And do unto others
As you'd have done to you
Be courageous and be brave
May good fortune be with you
May your guiding light be strong
Build a stairway to Heaven
With a prince or a vagabond
And may you never love in vain
and in my heart you will remain, forever young"
I look forward to a new year filled with peace, family and adventure. More time with nature and the camera. Home is peaceful so some days I am content right here where I can hide away from the crazy stupid things going on in our world and find the treasures, joy, simple little beauty God has to offer. We can not control the world around us, but we can control our own hearts and attitudes to find simple joy and things to be thankful for every day. Don't let a little rain or foggy day cloud your perception.
Celebrate each day in your life, count your blessing every day and move forward to a better and new year with peace, strength, health and happiness. Because 2026 will bring change and new adventure.

Happy New Year, God Bless and God Bless America
