Daily Miracles

Miracles happen every day around us, there is always something to be thankful for, to appreciate and to see beauty in the world. Our brains daily get cluttered. Clutter builds up from daily routines, chores, work, stress and OMG the T.V.! The world is filled with sad events, scary news, disasters and it can feel like it is upside down at times.
So, step up the routine and make time to unplug. Don't let life bog your soul down and zap the joy and beauty that surrounds us. Open fresh air, amazing small miracles in nature and releasing all the clutter to enjoy what is in your sights. It really does not take much, except allowing yourself to open up and appreciate it.
I made a goal for 2020, to hike once a week. Sometimes, feeling bogged down, it is a kick in the tail to make myself get out and break away. When I realize I have to kick myself to do it, I realize I need it even more. Grant yourself permission if needed to let go!

Maybe you can't always get out and hike or take a drive or get far away. But you can find time and a place daily to make it part of the routine. Miracles happen every morning, the sun comes up, don't take it for granted! Take time instead, to breathe and enjoy the sky as it changes colors with new light stretching across the sky, it will never look the same twice, every day it is different. Miracles happen every day, to watch a tree blow in the wind, listen to the sounds as it performs a dance. Maybe today the needles glisten in the sunlight from the frozen fog that formed, or droplets of water left from last nights rain and each tiny droplet forms a prism with its own miniature rainbow. Miracles happen in the smile of another person, a soft laugh of a child or in the eyes of a stranger.

Miracles happen when we release self control and let our hearts see them. What is a miracle? A miracle is; "Sometimes you feel lost, confused, and frustrated with life, and then something happens that changes your life. It is a surprising and welcome event that is not explicable by natural or scientific laws and is therefore considered to be the work of a divine agency". Miracles happen every day in nature and every day in our simple lives if we take time to see them.
Today, tears of joy fill my heart as our miracle came into our lives. Today we add a new grand child stocking to the family. Today is a grand miracle, a blessing. While today presented a huge miracle, don't let life bog you down to miss the small ones, they add up and make a big space in your heart and soul.
