What does Love mean to you? The dictionary describes love, "an intense feeling of deep affection, a great interest and pleasure in something". "love is pure, painful, sweet, and dreadful — all at once. ... Love is more of a feeling that a person feels for another person. People often confuse love and lust. Love means to be deeply committed and connected to someone or something." The basic meaning of love is to feeling more than liking towards.

There is is always a true love, something that inspires passion, excitement, meaning and makes the heart sing. My first and forever true love is the outdoors and love of the hiking adventure! So, Get Ready, Get Set, Go! Sometimes it is playing the weather game, get out now while the sky gives that short sweet promise with blue patches smiling down with opportunity. Nature is sending an invitation for love with blue skies, rainbows, birds singing.

Accepting the invitation, my valentine from nature and go! Every hiking adventure does not have to be strenuous 6,8, or + miles. Sometimes a quick mile in and out is just what the cardiologist orders to fill the void with outdoor love. Just remind the heart and soul and feed it a little passion and it will be restored. It does not mean if you are planning a quick short adventure to go unprepared. The short little hikes are usually the ones that can turn into an emergency. Keep the day pack with you, plenty of water and the 10 essentials and feel the love. Open your heart, let go of the clutter blocking your senses and accept the Valentine nature sends you and you will be restored, because nature always shows you its love. When you love the outdoors and enjoy it, love it back! It is just as important to show your love back, and its simple.....leave no trace, pack it out and leave only footprints and memories. Love is a 2 way street!

Happy Valentines Day! Feel the Love not just today but every day.
