God Bless America

While this blog has been mainly about adventures, places to explore and living in the beautiful Columbia River Gorge, today I have to share more. The world is experiencing something the current generation of all of us, have not lived through. So, this is beyond just Bear Creek.
There is fear, anxiety as well as not accepting this pandemic is really as bad as portrayed. Which is it? Both? There is a true pandemic virus, something that has traveled around our world, the world can seem so big to us, but right now it is not. Listening to people, watching the news, observing human behavior is pretty scary and making it maybe worse.

The Covid virus has been around for a long time, has it mutated? Is this an outbreak worse then influenza or really similar. It does not matter, because we are living it right now. I have not lived through a true war on the US soil, I have lived through 911 and will never forget. While that effected our Nation, it did not effect us across the land in every city and small town like this pandemic has. We are at war on our own soil, with a virus. Maybe a little harder to grasp, because a virus is not being invaded by troops of the enemy, or is it? the virus is our enemy right now and we can see how it is spreading and effecting everyone across our Nation.
We are the greatest Nation in the World, we are strong. We do need to become a little better with the "United", stick together and we are stronger together than tearing apart. The US has come back from so much in its history and will come back from this as well. We can fight this and we can fight anything. People need to work together, have courage, have faith, help thy neighbor ( hahahah from a social distance) and show our children and grand children how to be strong and resilient. How we respond now as adults is what our upcoming generations will learn. Teach them well.

"God bless America, land that I love Stand beside her and guide her Through the night with the light from above
From the mountains to the prairies To the oceans white with foam God bless America, my home sweet home
God bless America, land that I love Stand beside her and guide her Through the night with the light from above"
Be thankful, I am for this wonderful land of the free and home of all the brave. The brave people who are working around the clock to protect others. So, stay home. Some people, this is your simple part, stay home. Keep us all safe and help this war to end sooner. we are all in this together.

God Bless America
God Bless all of us and our families and friends.
