Listening to the Sky

I love the morning sky the best, no doubt its my favorite. Every day is always different. Every day it talks to me. Sometimes its very quiet and clear skies, not a cloud. So the sunrise comes on peaceful and still. When there are clouds it really has something to say. The burst of colors that can come give such a bright shout out....get up and get going your day is here and today is your day so be on your way, full of energy!

"You’re off to Great Places!Today is your day!Your mountain is waiting,So… get on your way!"

Dr. Seuss, Oh, the Places You’ll Go!

Morning heals you, if you are awake to meet it......I realize there are those "anti -morning folks".....I don't get it! Even research shows; Gerontologists in Copenhagen found that people who consistently wake up about 90 minutes before sunrise have inflammation markers 18–27% lower — meaning their bodies age more slowly. Not just burning daylight, but creating physical energy and living healthier.

MIT research later explained why: in those first moments, the brain calibrates cortisol. Catch that quiet window, and daily stress almost breaks down in halves.

“Life rewards not the fastest, but the earliest. If you wake up late, the world has already started to influence you. If you wake up early, you influence the world.” That secret — to owning your day instead of reacting to it.

I have always been a morning person, love sitting quiet to watch the sky unfold and start my day with positive energy in silence and reflection, it is my, "me time".

Even when there are days of darker heavier clouds, the colors can not burst through but the clouds are talking. The days when we have had several dry days and the dark heavy clouds come in, while the sky talks rain.....you can smell it in the air ( love that smell before the rain comes-the smell of dirt comes right up from the ground).

The other day the clouds had such deep darkness and totally rolling in fast. Clouds just stretch like a day dream and when there is sunrise bursting with color it is fuel for what could be.

Just look up! Even if only to recall what is consistent, yet ever changing. Of course then there is the night sky. I seem to catch is most when I take the dog out. But on a crystal clear cold night, the magic of never ending sky. The stars are too many to imagine or count against the velvet back drop. Hard to absorb...."forever" but it goes deeper than we can comprehend of millions of light years deep. At night to catch the Aurora....dancing light of colors in the night sky. I have captured on camera and only a faint vision with the naked eye. People have captured the explosive energy and call it "aurora angels".

“We shall find peace. We shall hear angels, we shall see the sky sparkling with diamonds.” – Anton Chekhov

I seem to miss the sunsets but up every day for sunrise to welcome the day and listen to the voice. Don't forget to stop and just look up.

“I thank you God for this most amazing day, for the leaping greenly spirits of trees, and for the blue dream of sky and for everything which is natural, which is infinite, which is yes.” – E. E. Cummings
