Love is All You Need

Love is all all around us, all you need is love, love is all we need. The heart shape is a symbol of love, nature presents a heart shape in many places. Are the heart shapes in nature a message and reminder? A whisper that we are loved, to love, love is all we need?

“I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where. I love you simply, without problems or pride: I love you in this way because I do not know any other way of loving but this, in which there is no I or you, so intimate that your hand upon my chest is my hand, so intimate that when I fall asleep your eyes close.”
― Pablo Neruda
The human heart is not actually a true heart shape, but "love with your whole heart". The heart symbol is an ideograph used to express the idea of the "heart" in its metaphorical or symbolic sense. Represented by an anatomically inaccurate shape, the heart symbol is often used to represent the center of emotion, including affection and love, especially romantic love. It is sometimes accompanied or superseded by the "wounded heart" symbol, depicted as a heart symbol pierced with an arrow or as a heart symbol "broken" into two or more pieces, indicating love sickness. If you have ever been "broken hearted", you actually feel the pain in your heart and not chest pain like a heart attack, but pain of sorrow. It seems natural to symbolize our heart with love......our heart beats the blood through out your body for life and life is love. We think of Valentines Day, a day to love, show love, be in love, spread the love. The spiritual meaning of this symbol goes beyond love, affection and St. Valentine’s Day. Actually, I hope we do not wait for one day out of the year to express our love for another. Not just romantic love, but all kinds of love. We should always; love one another, love thyself, love thy neighbor, love your mother and father, love your country and community, always....love God our creator. Wouldn't it be so simple if everyone did this all the time? I guess then we would have world peace.

"Love
I love for the sake of loving rather than the seeking to be loved in return
I share love simply because it is a natural part of me
I am loved in action when I treat my loved ones with kindness, extend a helping hand, silently bless a passerby, and forgive those who have hurt me.
We should not just love today for Valentines but love every day and let today be a reminder of how much love our hearts can hold and share with others."- unknown
Sometimes we do need reminders in nature, love is all around us or love is in the air, we are loved. When you see a heart shape in nature, a flower, a leaf, a rock, or snow taken shape on a hillside....nature has its way to express love and messages. So open your heart! Don't miss little messages because love does not have to be blind. It is better to have love and to lost than to never love at all.

"Always dance like there's nobody watching,
Love like you'll never be hurt,
Sing like there's nobody listening,
And live like it's Heaven on Earth.”
― William W. Purkey
