Closure is the Ending and the Beginning to a Journey

Closure, we all need closure at different times in our life, more than once and in different situations.

Closure can be acceptance, transition, acknowledgement, forgiveness, gratitude or a variety of paths.

When one door closes, another will open. This can happen in relationships, career changes, moving across the country to a new home, losing a loved one, starting a new family. Closure does not mean something is coming to an end, but it does mean when we find it, we can start a new journey.

For the new journey to begin, closure may take it to come from more than one side. Sometimes, a person can not pass on until they get the closure they need from loved ones around them. They may need forgiveness from someone or to hear those important yet simple words, " I love you" or " I will be ok". Closure can be as simple as the end of the pregnancy when a baby is born. This was a 9 month journey that leads to a life long journey with a new relationship.

We find the path to closure in different directions and paths. It can be a song on the radio, a last word, a sign from nature. Today, part of my closure for this journey helped with the courage and strength from a quick sighting of my bears. The bears came to me today to give me a sign and remind me of the strength I needed, a simple pleasure.

No matter what journey is coming to a closing for you, believe there is still more joy ahead. Appreciate simple pleasures in life and celebrate those ordinary moments.

Create life one day at a time, reflect on the next journey. Today, my dad's journey is in transition. I reminded him, you must have closure with your mind, body and soul. It is time to let it relax and turn it over with faith to be Heaven bound. The next journey is waiting. Give yourself permission to close the door on chaos, rest and replenish with silence and solitude.

Closure is one door closing and finding peace so the next door can open. You make your own journey and lead yourself through the new door.
