Bears Bare it all for Berries

Early mornings and evenings before the sunsets, are good times to view and find black bears ( and other wildlife). Some animals are nocturnal and sleep during the day, others wander all day long. Of course hot days, they all lay low, or you would think.
I guess a bear does what ever he feels having few predators out there. Still, they tend to hang in clear cuts for foilage, grub and berries in the cooler times of the day. Bears also are very active at night. A good time for many animals is a calm, quiet morning after a stormy scary night.
How do you find a bear? Luck, patience and perserverance. Is there myth or truths to finding location of the black bear when you see and hear the ravens? I have heard this before and find no evidence to back it. But, several times when I am searching for a black bear on hillside clear cut, I spot 2- 4 ravens and they fly around circling above a black bear. I have almost felt they knew I was searching and offered a little help.
A black bear has a symbol of introspective and awakening the strong forces of the unconscious . While a raven is complex; represents prophecy and insight. The raven is associated with greek mythology, Apollo, the god of prophecy and bad luck messages. Also associated with the dead and lost souls on the flip side the black bear helps restore harmony and balance. Do they work together or against each other? They are both a scavenger of food, always on the search for the next meal and will graze on almost anything from vegetation to a carcass. Maybe the raven follows the bear for food and is not a threat to dine together?
Either way, bears with or without the ravens are king of the forest. the bear is a symbol of great force and strength, he is fearless and confident. When I view a bear on a hillside, it is no wonder I feel that same power, strength and majestic braveness.

I love my bears, but also respect them....after all, I live on Bear Creek Rd. Its just the bear necessity of life. Where ever I wander, where ever I roam, I couldn't be fonder of my big home. Bear season is my favorite season!
